What is TCM?The treatment takes a holistic and balanced approach to heal diseases; restore the Qi, blood, Yin, and Yang’s balance; strengthen the body’s self-healing ability; and increase vitality. At the same time, TCM also addresses the underlying root causes of health issues in order to prevent illness. In TCM, Qi (pronounced “chee”) is the invisible life force which flows throughout one’s body. Blockage and insufficiency of Qi in the body causes disease. Meridians are the channel or network through which Qi flows in the body. Yin and Yang are the underlying principle of Chinese medicine. They are complementary aspects and good health results from the balance of Yin and Yang. For more information on TCM, please visit: Mayo clinic website* Traditional Chinese Medicine (nih.gov)
